MILDRED ‘MILLIE' T GALBREATH

Mildred ‘Millie' Galbreath, age 77, of Neillsville, died Friday Sept. 17, 2004, at the Black River Memorial Hospital in Black River Falls, WI.

Mildred Teresa Galbreath was born on June 8, 1927 in Neillsville, the daughter of Hugo and Amelia (Ellenbeck) Halle. She attended the Christie Grade School through the fifth grade. She then attended St. Mary's Catholic School from the sixth to the eighth grade and then finished the ninth grade at the Neillsville High School. Millie then moved to Milwaukee and worked for Austin Lent, the President of the 1st Wisconsin Bank. She met her future husband-to-be, Bobby Galbreath at the Neillsville Roller Rink. They were united in marriage on May 15, 1944 in the Catholic Parsonage in Neillsville. Later Millie worked as an assistant nurse for 15 years at the Harvard Hospital—Admiral Corp., Stay–Rite industries.

Surviving Millie is her husband, Bobby; three daughters, Cleo (Wayne) Peters, of Elk Horn; Kathleen (Joseph) Hansen, of Stratford; and Jacalyn Crone of Greenwood; seven grandchildren, Anne Foley, Susan Ingersoll, Joseph Hansen, Julie Redman, Jody Bender, Jamasen Crone and Roberta Ann Slone; 19 great-grandchildren; one brother, Arnold Halle, of Neillsville; two sisters, Martha Ebbe, of Santa Monica, CA and Adella Allen, of CA; Millie is further survived by nieces and nephews.

Preceding Millie in death is her son, Bobby Daniel; her parents; and eight siblings.

Funeral services for Millie were held Monday, Sept. 20, 2004 at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. Pastor Terry Baxter officiated. Interment was in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.

Honorary casket bearer was Dr. Peter Chambers. Casket bearers were: Todd Ingersoll, Scott Redman, Dave Bender, Justin Redman, Errol Hohmann and Bill Ebbe.

The Gesche Funeral Home assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
