Halle, Arnold Joseph (10 March 1919 - 14 Feb. 2005)

NEILLSVILLE - Arnold Joseph Halle, 85, of Neillsville died Monday, Feb. 14, 2005, at the Memorial Nursing Home in Neillsville.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 18, 2005, at Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. Burial will be in Greenwood City Cemetery in Greenwood. Visitation time will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday the funeral home.

He was born March 10, 1919, in the town of Eaton to Hugo and Amelia (Ehlenbeck) Halle. After his schooling, he worked at a logging camp, did some part-time work for the township, trained horses and worked on the family dairy farm before eventually taking over the farm. Arnold and Elsie Pfefferkorn were united in marriage on Sept. 19, 1942. She preceded him in death Arnold is survived by his children, Mary Ann Halle Gerber of Rockford, Ill., Joan (Lee) Halle Kurasz and Arnold Glenn (Dinna) Halle, all of Neillsville; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and two sisters, Adella Allen of West Hills, Calif., and Martha Ebbe of California.
