Schafer, Ella (20 AUG 1924)

On Wednesday afternoon, Miss Ella Schafer, oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Max Schafer, was united in marriage to Mike J. Gumz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charley Gumz, at the Evangelical Peace Church, Rev. J. Bizer of Medford officiating.

The bridesmaids were Miss Marie Kaage and Miss Myrtle Schafer of Spencer, and the gentlemen attendants were Messrs. Walter Schafer and Henry Gumz.

The bride was daintily attired in white type silk knit crepe beautifully trimmed with silk lace and she wore a white net veil which completed her costume tastily.

The bridesmaids wore blue, Miss Kaage had a silk nu-weave crepe and Miss Schafer a voile.

After the ceremony they all repaired to the Max Schafer home where a very bounteous six o'clock dinner was served. After dinner, dancing was indulged in and at midnight a luncheon was served.

Neither of the young people need an introduction to our Dorchester readers as they are well known in this community and we are sure they will deserve any success and happiness to come.

They have gone to housekeeping already as they were obliged to take possession of their recently purchased farm yesterday as the Stevens family left for the west on that day.

Dorchester friends join us in offering congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Mike Gumz, and may life offer them many good things.
