John F. Fahey and Miss Helena E. Shupe were united in marriage at the local M. E. Church, Tuesday afternoon, August 21, t five o’clock, Rev. D. S. Householder officiated.

Glen Shupe and Miss Nettie Shupe, brother and sister of the bride attended the couple.

The groom is the son of Mrs. T. Fahey of this city, he is a graduate of the local high school, served in the World War and for several years was city electrician here. About a year ago he went to Owen where he is employed with the Northern States Power Company.

The bride is a daughter of Mrs. Julia Shupe of Loyal, is a graduate of the Loyal High School and for the past eight years was head sales lady at the Fair Store here.

After the wedding the near relatives and friends were entertained at a wedding dinner at the home of the brides mother.

Both young people are very well known and highly respected and their many friends join the Gleaner in extending congratulations and best wishes.

The couple will take a two weeks wedding trip after which they will make their home in Owen
