Giloy, Robert E. (11 OCT 1911 - 12 Apr 1949)

Neillsville, Clark County, Wis. - Services for Robert Edward Giloy, 37, 811 E. Ninth St., Marshfield, will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church, Humbird.

Burial will be made at Alma Center, the rev. Arthur Gausman officiating. He died at the Middle River Sanitorium at 2:55 a.m. Tuesday.

The body will lie ins tate at the Cole Funeral Home until 10 a.m. Friday.

Mr. Giloy was born Oct. 11, 1911, in Jackson Co., Wis. He received his education in county schools and lived there until his return from the Army, when he married Grace Flood, July 17, 1946, at Neillsville, and then moved to Marshfield.

He was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church, Humbird.

He is survived by his wife, one child, Gail Diane, and two step-children, Connie and Judy Duchow.

Brothers and sisters included William, Clarence, Herbert, Vernon and Gerald, all of Jackson Co.; Mrs. John (Ella) Mueller and Mrs. Martin (Amanda) Fisher, Spencer, and Rosetta Giloy, Humbird. His father, Phillip Giloy, Humbird, also survives.

Funeral services for Robert Edward Giloy, 37, of 811 E. Ninth St., Marshfield, were held at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon at St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church with the Rev. George Hohmann and the Rev. Arthur Gausman officiating. Burial was made in the Alma Center Cemetery.

Pallbearers were five brothers of the deceased, William, Clarence, Herbert, Vernon, and Gerald Giloy, and a brother-in-law, Martin Fisher.

Harold Losey sang three solos, "I Need Thee Every Hour,", "Some Day He Will Make It Plain To Me," and "God Understands." Losey was accomapnied by Mrs. William Theiler on the piano.

Jean Ann Flood, Betty Fisher, Pauline Zimmerman, and Marie Bemis were in charge of the floral offerings.

Members of the Humbird Post of the American Legion took part in the ceremonies.
