Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Happe Sr. -- 50th Wedding Anniversary

West Fremont -- Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Happe Sr., pioneer residents of the town of Fremont, celebrated their golden wedding Sunday at their home in Chili, where numerous friends and relatives gathered throughout the day to extend felicitations.

Dinner was served at noon, with covers laid for 45. Among the guests were two daughters, Miss Alma Happe, who teachers at Rochelle, Ill., and Miss Elda Happe, teacher at Eau Claire. Others present included the following from this community:

Mr. and Mrs. William Happe Jr. and daughter, Rowene, and son, Ronald, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Happe and sons, Wesley and Arthur Jr. and daughter, Lucille, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lindow and sons, Lawrence and Milton, and daughter, Lorna, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lindow and daughters, Marian and Caroline, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Grimm, C. A. Happe, and Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Happe and son, Douglas.

Mr. and Mrs. Happe Sr. retired from farming several years ago and built a new home in Chili, where they have resided since. They still own two large farms in the town of Fremont.
