Luepke, Genevieve (29 May 1921 - 29 Feb 2004)

Genevieve Luepke, 82, Racine, died Sunday, Feb. 29, 2004. Funeral services were held Thursday, March 4, at the West Lawn Chapel. Burial was in West Lawn Memorial Park, Racine.

Genevieve Schmidt was born May 29, 1921, to Albert and Blanche [nee Francis] Schmidt. She graduated form Loyal High School in 1938, and became a cosmetologist and worked for many years in Racine. She married Elmer Luepke in July, 1941.

Survivors include her husband, Elmer; a daughter, Charmaine [Gary] Hurtianne, Racine; a son, Robert [Shawn] Luepke; Holland, Mich.; two grandchildren, Mike Luepke and Reagan Luepke; one sister, Ila Olsen, Greenwood; two sisters-in-law, Elaine Schmidt, Argyle, and Irene Verch, Spencer; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in deathwere her parents; a daughter, Kathleen; two grandchildren, Rhonda Hurtianne and Randy Hurtianne; and tow brothers, Harold Schmidt and Victor Schmidt.

On March 10, 2004, Genny’s daughter, Charmaine, passed away after a long illness. Her husband, Gary; father, Elmer; and brother, Bob, survive her.

Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home, Racine, assisted the family with arrangements.
