Silkey, Nellie (11 Sept. 1901 - 14 July 1930)

Mrs. Ed. Silkey of Christie passed away Monday night at Sacred Heart Hospital where she had been taken last Thursday.

Nellie Miljure was born at Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, September 11, 1901. In 1923 she was united in marriage to Edwin Silkey. Shortly afterward they came to Wisconsin and settled on the place near Christie where they have since made their home. On July 10 she was taken to the Sacred Heart Hospital where she underwent an operation the following morning, from which she did not recover. She passed away at 3:50 p.m. Monday, July 14. At the time of her death she was 28 years, 10 months and 3 days of age. She leaves to mourn her death, her husband, Edwin Silkey, her father, four sisters and five brothers, all in Canada, and a host of friends, her mother having died while she was still in Canada.

The remains will be brought here for burial, the funeral to be held at Lowe’s Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Thursday, Rev. G. W. Longenecker officiating. The pall bearers will be Peter Boon, Millard Chadwick, Geo. Davis, Clint Asplin, Hallie Linster and George Atkins.
