Rossow, Gusta (19 NOV 1849 - 28 Apr 1926)

Mrs. Gusta Rossow, who died at the Marshfield Hospital Wednesday morning, was born in Germany, Nov. 19, 1849. She was married in Germany and came to this country with her husband after her marriage. They came to Wisconsin and settled in the town of Beaver, Clark County. Her husband preceded her in death 25 years ago. She lived in Beaver until six years ago, when she moved to Greenwood, Clark County. On April 22 she was taken to the Marshfield Hospital, and on the 27th underwent an operation, and at 1:00 Wednesday morning, passed out of this world.

She was a member of the Lutheran Church at Greenwood and was a kind and loving mother.

She leaves to mourn her loss, six sons: William and Paul of Greenwood, Otto of Loyal, Charles of Granton, Albert of the town of Beaver, and Fred who is out West. Also one daughter, Mrs. John Brandt of the town of Beaver and one daughter died in infancy.

Funeral services were held at the home of her daughter, Saturday, May 1st, she was then taken to the Lutheran Church at Greenwood. Interment took place in the Greenwood Cemetery.
