The Municipal Treasurers Association of Wisconsin (MTAW) is proud to announce that Rex Roehl has completed the necessary requirements to maintain his designation of certified municipal treasurer of Wisconsin (CMTW). He was awarded this coveted designation by the MTAW Board of Directors on April 28.

“In an organization… of over 500 members, Roehl is the first active member to have achieved the honor of fifth recertification. The individual must meet both extensive educational standards in addition to work experience to be recertified,” MTAW executive secretary John Schlice wrote in a press release.

Treasurers must renew their certification every five years by attending continuing education classes and maintaining proficiency in their area of fiduciary responsibility.

Roehl also recently celebrated his 38th work anniversary. He has served as the City of Neillsville clerk since May 1, 1984.
