Guell, Anna L. (1 OCT 1910 - 26 OCT 2000)

Anna L. (nee Zimmerman) Guell, age 90, died at home on Thursday, Oct. 26, 2000.

She was born on Oct. 1, 1910, the daughter of John and Laura (Steiner) Zimmerman in Fond du Lac County. Anna loved looking at the flowers and observing wild birds. She loved to go out for waffles/pancakes toped with strawberries and whipped cream. To keep her mid alert, she memorized Philippians 4:8. Anna consoled people by saying "This too will pass."

On Dec. 3, 1932 Anna was united in marriage to Corwin Guell. They lived in Thorp for over 40 years. He preceded her in death in Dec. 1976. The happiness of each family member was a paramount importance to her. Everyone experienced her loving kindness.

She is survived by her three children: Genevieve (Robert) Cliver of Green Bay, WI, David (Ann) Guell of Oregon, WI, Barbara (Ronald) Reineke of DeForest, WI; 7 grandchildren: Michelle, Paula, David C., Robert, Margaret, Craig, and Rebekah; 7 great-grandchildren: Adam, Brillianne, Thomas, Wendy, Kathleen, Matthew and Madeleine; two sisters: Lillian Davis of Madison, and Ruth Misfeldt of Thorp, WI.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Corwin Guell, and 2 brothers: Edgar and John Zimmerman.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2000, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 5475 Portage Road, Madison at 2:00 p.m., with Ronald Reineke presiding. Frinds may call at the Kingdom Hall on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2000 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Immediately following the service a luncheon gathering will be held at the DeForest Area Community Center, 505 North Main St. Anna was a member of the congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses of Sun Prairie. Memorials appreciated to the building fund of the Sun Prairie Kingdom Hall, 51 Tower Drive, Sun Prairie, WI 53590.
