Milton, James Sr. (1856 - 15 April 1930)

James Milton died at his home at Havanna, North Dakota, April 15, 1930, in his seventy-fourth year. He was born in Dane County, Wis., in 1856 and came with his parents to Neillsville in 1872. He attended high school here for a time. He was married to Miss Johanna Rich of Augusta and about 1887 went to North Dakota and settled on a farm. Mrs. Milton died some years ago. He leaves two sons, Earl and Erie, who carried on the farm. He leaves also one brother, George Milton of the town of Pine Valley. Mrs. Harrison Lowery, deceased was a sister.

George Milton went to Havanna previous to his brother’s death, remaining until after his burial.
