Ohlemotz, Amelia (3 JUN 1834 - 3 NOV 1925)

Mrs. Conrad Oelmetz, aged ninety-one years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. August Pagel in this village (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.), on Tuesday morning, Nov. 3, 1925. Deceased had been in poor health owing to advanced age, for some time past. She leaves to mourn, two daughters, Mrs. August Pagel of Thorp, Mrs. Caesar Barth of the town of Reseberg, and one son, Louis Oelmetz of Sheboygan. Interment will take place in the Reseberg (Sylvan) Cemetery.

Amelia Henrietta Smith Ohlemotz passed away on Tuesday morning, Nov. 3, 1925, of old age, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Caroline Pagel.

Mrs. Ohlemotz was born June 8, 1834 at Guben, Germany, and came to America at the age of nine years, with her parents, to Jeffersonville, Sullivan Co., N.Y.

Amelia Smith was married to Conrad Ohlemotz in the year 1857 and resided at the above mentioned place for several years, from thence they moved to Sheboygan. About twenty-five years ago they moved to Thorp and made their home in the town of Reseberg until about ten years ago. After the death of her husband she made her home with her children. She spent most of her latter days with her daughter, Mrs. Caroline Pagel.

Mrs. Amelia Ohlemotz passed away on Tuesday morning, Nov. 3rd, about 6:30. The deceased was 91 years, 4 months and 25 days of age. She leaves to mourn, two daughters, Mrs. Caroline Page, Mrs. Amelia Barth, one son, Louis Ohlemotz, 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

The funeral took place at the Lutheran Church at Reseburg, Rev. Stapel officiating, interment following in the nearby cemetery.
