Alvin J. Bryner

Alvin J. Bryner, 84, of Silver Lake, Wis., and formerly of Humbird, died on Saturday, April 18, 1998, at the Memorial Hospital of Burlington, following a long illness.

He was born on February 27, 1914, in Humbird, to parents John and Louise (garbor) Bryner. He married Dorothy Nibbe on May 28, 1941, in Fall Creek. They lived in Humbird until moving to Silver Creek, Kenosha County, in 1963. He worked for the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad, and for American Motors in Kenosha, and he also worked Quaker Industries in Antioch, Ill., and in the maintenance department of the Village of Silver Lake before retiring in 1997. He attended Peace Lutheran Church in Wilmot, Wis., and he enjoyed gardening and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; one son, Alan, of Silver Lake; two daughters, Donna (Cliff) hanson of Janesville, Diane (Charles) Hayden of Pittsville, five gradnchildren, John, Kevin, and Corey hayden, and Rod and Hillary hansen; five great- grandchildren, Casey, Lyndsi, Cole, Erik, and Zachery Hayden. He was preceded in death by an infant grandson.

Funeral services for Alvin J. Bryner were held at 2 p.m. on April 21, 1998, at St. John's United Church of Christ with Reverend Donald King officiating. Following cremation, the ashes will be buried in Mentor Cemetery, Humbird. Visitation was held at the church one hour prior to services.

The family requests that memorial remembrances May be made to the Silver Lake Rescue Squad, Silver Lake, WI 53170. Funeral arranagements were with the Jensen-Modjeski Funeral Home, Hixton.
