Elmhorst Family Receives Blue Star Banner (2022)

The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 73 of Neillsville recently presented Randy and Katie Elmhorst with a “Blue Star Service Banner.” It’s an American tradition to display a Blue Star Service Banner in the window of a home when a loved one is proudly serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. The banner is a reminder that war touches every neighborhood. Randy and Katie’s daughter, Abigail Elmhorst, is stationed at Fort Sill, OK. Shown (l-r) are Jesse Elmhorst, Unit 73 treasurer; Macci, Katie and Randy Elmhorst; and Susan Wells, Unit 73 president. Submitted photo
