At 90 years of age, Agnes M. Karl, passed away in Neillsville Memorial Home on Sunday, February 10. She'd been a resident of there for the past two years.

 

This past Wednesday afternoon, February 13, Funeral services were held at 3:00 from the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. Interment was planned for the city cemetery. Rev. D. E. Sprague, of the Neillsville Assembly of God, officiated.

 

Agnes Block was born on June 23, 1889, in South Haven, Minnesota, to Mr. and Mrs. Henry A. Block. She received her education in Minnesota schools. After her marriage to Joseph Karl in Slaton, Minnesota, the couple farmed for many years in Minnesota. They then moved to Wisconsin, farming in Pierce and Taylor Counties before moving to Clark County where they farmed in the Towns of Levis and Pine Valley.

 

After the death of her husband in 1959, Mrs. Karl worked at various jobs in the Neillsville area.

 

Surviving her are five sons, Brooks, Arnold, Clifford, Rufus and Richard, all of Neillsville; one daughter, Mrs. Warren (Beverly) Drescher, Tacoma, Washington; fourteen grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

 

Preceding her in death, besides her husband, were five brothers and one sister.
