Hubing, Elizabeth Marie (Marriage - 26 Nov. 1925)
Mr. Leon J. McCauley and Miss Elizabeth Marie Hubing were united in marriage at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville, Thursday morning, November 26, Rev. Peter Weber officiating. Miss Margaret Schiller was bridesmaid and Mr. Leo Wasserberger was best man.
The bride wore a maize colored gown of crepe de chine and chenille and wore a hat; she carried tea roses and chrysanthemums. The bridesmaid was dressed in henna crepe de chine and carried chrysanthemums.
After the ceremony a fine dinner was served at the home of the bride’s mother in the town of Grant.
The groom is the son of Mrs. Alice McCauley of West Union, Iowa. Mrs. McCauley and family lived in the town of York for about four years, moving back to Iowa about a year ago. During his residence here the groom made many friends and impressed all who knew him as being a young man of good character and ability.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Mary Hubing. She grew to womanhood at the farm home in Grant, graduated from Neillsville High School in the class of 1920 and has since been teaching school very successfully. She is a young lady of fine mental attainments and lovable qualities.
The young couple left at once for West Union where they will make their home on the farm. They take with them the best wishes of this community, in which they Press most heartily joins.
