Donald Rosenlof, Sr.

Donald D. Rosenlof, Sr., 64, Neillsville, died Thursday, May 6, 2004, at Neillsville Memorial Home. Funeral services were held at 7 p.m., Monday, May 10, at Cuddie Funeral Home, Loyal. The Rev. Daniel Zimmerman officiated. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Colby, at a later date.

Donald Duane Rosenlof was born July 25, 1939, in Ironwood, Mich., to Arthur and Mamie (nee Kehusma) Rosenlof. He was raised in Upson until his early teens and then moved to Tripoli with his parents, where he graduated from Tripoli High School in 1956. Following his education, he entered the United States Army, serving overseas in Korea, and upon his honorable discharge, he worked at Chrysler in Belvedere, Ill. He married Ida Margaret Anderson on Oct. 5, 1963, in Colby. The young couple lived in Colby, and he worked at PCA Packaging. In addition to working at the packaging company, he worked various places, including Gross Motors for the past seven years. He suffered a heart attack in February, and entered the Neillsville Memorial home. His interests included Nascar racing, his dogs, fishing with his boys, good times with friends, singing, playing guitar, accordion and harmonica. He was very musical and also greatly enjoyed watching nature from his window.

He will be sadly missed by his sons, Donald Rosenlof, Jr., Greenwood, Dean Rosenlof, Loyal, Darin Rosenlof, Loyal, Roger (Theresa) Werstovshek, Spencer, and Donny (Shirley) Albrent, Tomahawk; seven grandchildren; and his sister, Marlene Brady, Andover, Minn.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Ida, on Oct. 31, 1998; his daughter, Debra, in 1990; and his son, Robert, in 1994.

Cuddie Funeral Home, Loyal, assisted the family with arrangements.
