Goodbrand, Julia D. (19 Jul 1924 - 14 Augl 1999)

Julia Dorothy Goodbrand, aged 75, of Loyal, Clark County, Wis., died Saturday, Aug. 14, 1999 at St. Joseph's House of the Dove in Marshfield, Wis. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18, 1999 at Loyal United Methodist Church, rev. Evan Butterbrodt will officiate and burial will be in the Loyal City Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1999 from 4 - 8 p.m. at Rinka Funeral Home in Loyal, and at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Rinka Funeral Home of Loyal is assisting the family with arrangements.

Julia Dorothy Hansen was born on July 19, 1924 in Rapid City, S. D. to Hans and LuLu (Pierce) Hansen. She attended school in South Dakota, after school she worked on the family farm until her marriage to David Goodbrand on July 17, 1943, in Missouri. They farmed in Iowa, and moved to Loyal in 1958 and farmed until 1976, when they moved to the city of Loyal. Her husband then passed away in 1976. Julia worked at Stewart's Redville Dairy for 23 years until her retirement. Julia enjoyed many things, such as: bowling, playing cards, bingo, doing crafts, fishing, gardening and spending time with her family. She was a member of Loyal United Methodist Church.

She is survived by seven daughters: Joan Brecht of Marshfield; Bonnie Henchen of Neillsville; Shirley (Dave) Nelson of Loyal; Kathy (Steve) Nett of Sheboygan, Betty (Mitch) Kacer of Spencer, Sandy (Bill) Kilty of Spencer, and Barb (Vern) Miller of Greenwood; two sons: James Goodbrand of Bonneau, S. C., and Joe (Renee) Goodbrand of Loyal; 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband David, one son, Robert in 1989, and one grandson, Chad Nelson in 1995; four brothers and three sisters.
