Uhlman, Louis Andrew (29 May 1891 - 7 June 1923)

One of the largest funerals ever held in Lambert took place last Monday at 2 o’clock p.m. when Louis Uhlman was laid to rest in the Lambert cemetery.

A beautiful sermon was delivered by Rev. Neilsen of Sidney and the casket was nearly buried in flowers.

Louis Andrew Uhlman was born May 29, 1891, at Ashippern, Wis. At the age of 13 he moved with his parents to Clark County, Wisconsin, where he lived until 1910 at which time he came to Montana. In 1912 he filed on a homestead eight miles north of Lambert where he resided until the time of his death. On Dec. 10, 1919 he was united in marriage with Effa B. Smith and to this union one child was born, which is ten and one half months old. He died on June 7, 1923, after a third attack of pneumonia following an operation at the Sidney Hospital where he has been for the past six weeks. He leaves to mourn his loss, a father and mother, fives sisters, five brothers, besides of host of friends. Mrs. George A. Rohrer of Cochrane, Wis., and Mrs. Fred Kooken of Filford, Mont., both sisters of the deceased, attended the funeral.
