York, Wisconsin September 4, 1893

The ice cream social held last Saturday at Elmer Redmond's was largely attended. The proceeds amounted to about $17.00. The young people of this vicinity gathered at the home of Lillie Warner last Saturday evening and report a very enjoyable time. Mrs. William Smithers left last Thursday for a visit to relatives at Fox Lake. Harry Philpott of Loyal, filled the pulpit at this place Sunday. E.M. Rowe transacted business at Granton last Wednesday. Chauncy Fowler opened his school in the Dwyer district last Monday. Mrs. Dr. Lyman of Eau Claire, was the guest of Mrs. H.L. Snyder last Wednesday. Herman Bauer of Marshfield, was a caller at this place the latter part of last week. Levi Fulwiler and Norman Rogers of Chili, spent Sunday at home. James Davidson of Lynn, called at this place last Sunday. M.V. Visgar and Mrs. William Rowe are reported on the sick list. Frank Baker of Loyal, called on his many friends at this place last Sunday.
