Yunker, Amanda (Marriage - 04 Oct. 1922)

Mr. Leslie Holmes of this city and Miss Amanda Yunker were quietly married Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 4, at the Congregational Parsonage, Rec. G. W. Longenecker officiating. They were attended by Mr. Frank Pellman of Milwaukee and Miss Erna Yunker, a sister of the bride. After the ceremony they drove to the home of the bride’s father Henry Yunker, in the town to Weston, where a sumptuous wedding dinner was served to the assembled guests. A pretty and pleasing feature was the decorations of the dining room, which was converted into a beautiful bower by the arrangement of branches of the autumn trees in all their October coloring, interspersed with branches of evergreens.

The groom has lived nearly all his life in Neillsville and vicinity, except some time spent in the west, and has been employed by the city in different capacities. At present his is employed by the Withee Construction Co., on work in Neillsville. He is a reliable and industrious young man. The bride is a young lady of fine personality and has a large circle of friends.

The newly-weds will make their home in Neillsville.
