Arnold, Elsie E. (Marriage - 27 May 1922)

A pleasant surprise came to this community early this week by the announcement of the marriage of Mr. Raymond A. Clemens of this city and Miss Elsie E. Arnold of Glenbeulah, Wisconsin. The ceremony was performed at the new England Congregational Church, Chicago, May 27, Rev. Mills officiating. From Chicago they went on a short auto trip, visiting cities of southern Wisconsin. The groom is one of the best known business men of Neillsville, and needs no introduction to most of the Press readers, as he has been cashier of the First National Bank of Neillsville for several years. He is a man of high integrity of character and has been identified in actively promoting the business welfare of this city and surrounding country by his careful and conservative methods.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Arnold of Glenbeulah. She is a young lady of fine personality and has been a considerable business experience as assistant cashier of the Glenbeulah State Bank. Although she has been a visitor in Neillsville, she comes as a stranger to most of our people, but we fell certain she will receive a cordial welcome into this community.

The Press joins with the many friends of Mr. Clemens in offering to him heartiest congratulations, and to his bride out heartfelt hopes for her happiness among us.

Mr and Mrs. Clemens will be at home in Neillsville after June 15.
