Giloy, Ella (11 JUN 1919)
A pretty farm home wedding was solemnized at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Phil Giloy at eleven o'clock Wednesday forenoon, when the Rev. D. Grether spoke the words that united in wedlock their daughter Miss Ella and Mr. John O. Mueller from Loyal, Clark County, Wis. The ceremony was performed in the presence of about ninety invited guests. The bride and groom were attended by Misses Violet Merrill and Lottie Giloy of Loyal, and Mrs. August Mueller, a brother of the groom from Loyal, and Mr. Bert Terrell. The ceremony was performed under an arch decorated with camp pennants, and at the rear of which was displayed the national emblem. The bride was dressed in a wedding gown of white silk and the groom wore his military uniform.
After the wedding a bounteous dinner was served by the mother of the bride, assisted by neighbors and others. The afternoon was spent in pleasure by the young people and guests, many of whom were from the vicinity of Loyal. Supper was served at 6:00, over a hundred covers being laid. The evening was devoted to dancing.
Mr. and Mrs. Mueller will go to housekeeping immediately on his farm near the village of Loyal, where the best wishes of a host of friends will be with them on their journey through life.
