Lovell, Julia (17 Jul 1840 - 6 Jan 1913)

Mrs. John Lovell died at her home northeast of Granton, Clark County, Jan. 6, 1913, after a brief illness from pneumonia.

Deceased, whose maiden name was Julia Stafford, was born in St. Lawrence Co., N.Y., July 17, 1840. She was married there to John Lovell in April 1872, and they came immediately to Clark County, settling on their farm north of Granton, and made their home there until a few years ago, when they came to live near their daughter, Mr. C.E. Brooks. Besides this daughter and her husband she leaves a step-son, Dell Lovell, of Rice Lake. Mrs. Lovell was a home-loving woman and possessed all the old time virtues that made her a real lady.

The funeral was held Wednesday at the Adventist Church near Granton, a brief service being held at the house, Rev. Wilson Mallory officiating.
