Hubing, Celia G. (Marriage - 24 Sep 1912)

One of the prettiest wedding that has occurred for some time, took place at St. Mary’s Church in Neillsville, Clark County Tuesday morning, Sept. 24, 1912, at 9 o’clock when Mr. Frank S. Root and Miss Celia Genevieve Hubing were united in marriage. Rev. A.J. Dorrenbach officiated. Leo F. Root, brother of the groom, acted as best man and Clare Streff, cousin of the bride, acted as bridesmaid. The bride was dressed in white marquisette silk draped over white satin, trimmed with Irish point lace. She also wore a wreath and veil and carried a shower bouquet of bridal roses. The bridesmaid wore pink silk and carried flowers.

Frank Root is the son of Mr. and Mrs. S. Root of Pleasant Ridge. He is a graduate of the Wisconsin Dairy School in the class of 1977-78. Since that time he has been employed as butter maker at Grand Rapids. He is at present located at Rudolph, Wis. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Nick Hubing of the town of Grant, Clark Co., Wis. She attended the Neillsville High School, and for the past five years has taught school successfully in this county. A reception was held at the home of Mrs. Nick Hubing for the immediate relatives. The happy couple took the evening train Tuesday for a visit to Chicago, Milwaukee and other points. They will be at home at Rudolph, Wis. after Oct. 12.
