Graves, Edward A. (9 Jul 1879 - 11 Nov 1912)

Mr. Edward A. Graves, only son of Walter and Hannah Graves, at the age of 33 years, after an illness of a year’s duration suffering with tuberculosis, died on Monday, Nov. 11th, 1912. Deceased was born in Waupun on Jul 9, 1879 and was married to Miss Jennie Winn of this place in 1899. They started their married life on the home farm where his father now resides, but later on bought a farm near by, where they resided at the time of his death. Their lives were blessed with two children, one a girl Glyde Etta, now 11 years old and a son Arleigh Fremont, 9 years of age. Their married life has been one of happiness and love and we regret that the home has lost a loving husband and father. He leaves a wife and these two children, a sister, Mrs. Walter Rowe, of York, and his father and step-mother. His own mother passed away several years since. The funeral was held from the York Center Church Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Alderson of Loyal officiating. The bearers were Amos Fulwiler, Ernest and Vernon Rowe, Roy Lawrence, Will Campbell and Will Benedict, all of the M.W.A. order, of which deceased was an honored member. Interment was made in the York Cemetery. (Granton News)
