Fike, Charles I. (26 Augl 1844 - 27 May 1912)

Chas. Ira Fike was born Aug. in Isnobuck, Ontario, and passed away at his home in Medina, Monday afternoon, May 27, 1912, being sixty eight years of age. Mr. Fike was united in marriage to Miss Francis Palmatier, of Hannibal, Orange Co., N.Y., in 1866. To them was born one son, Samuel. He leaves to mourn his death his wife, son and four grandchildren, all of Medina, also three brothers and six sisters, Sidney Fike of Castlewood, S.D.; Mrs. Allen Stewart of Ypsilanti, Mich., George and Allen Fike, and Mrs. Geo. Watson of Nemington, Ontario; Mrs. Sarah Hurd, of Portland, Oregon; Mrs. Thomas Stern of Alberta, Canada; Mrs. A.J. O’Neil of Winnipeg, Canada; Miss Agnes Fike of Detroit, Mich.

Mr. Fike was a man of integrity and an excellent citizen and will be greatly missed by his many friends in this community. The funeral was held at the M.E. church Wednesday afternoon at two o’clock, being conducted by Rev. O.J. Lyon and A.H. Fraser. The Masonic services rendered at the grave were impressive.
