Klopf, Mary (17 Apr 1860 - 19 Apr 1911)

Mrs. Mary Klopf, wife of W.G. Klopf, died at her home in this city (Neillsville, Clark Co.) April 19, 1911. While she had been in poor health for some time past, death came suddenly at the last.

Deceased, whose maiden name was Mary Servaty, was born at Belvidere, Ill., April 17, 1860. She grew to womanhood there, and there she was married to Wm. G. Klopf Oct. 28, 1882, coming directly to Neillsville, where she has resided ever since. She was a lady in every sense that the term implies, a good, kind wife and mother, a neighbor, beloved by all in the vicinity. She bore the burden of ill health patiently and bravely, and left to her relatives and friends the memory of her kindness and courage all along the way of life.

She leaves her husband, a son Clarence, a daughter Edna, her aged mother, Mrs. Catherine Servaty, her twin brother Chas. Servaty of Fresno, Cal., another brother, John J. Servaty of Owen, Wis., and three sisters: Mrs. Madeline Mick and Catherine and Julie Servaty.

The funeral was held at the home Sunday, Rev. W.P. Burrows preaching the sermon and the members of Carmi Chapter O.E.S., of which deceased was a member, rendering the services of the order at the grave. Those from away who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. John Servaty and son Clare of Owen, Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Steihl of Merrillan, Emil Mick of Black River Falls and Albert Reineking of Wausau.
