Mrs. Chas. KUEHL was in Eau Claire shopping on Thursday.

Mrs. Chris. MADSEN is ill this week with an abcess in her throat.

Carl BERGER is having his residence remodeled and freshly painted.

Mr. and Mrs. John CHRISTENSEN and family spent Sunday at Chippewa Falls.

Miss Ruth VATER has gone to Eau Claire, where she will remain for some time.

A new addition is being built to the south wing of the residence Al. BILLINGTON.

Mr. and Mrs. Herman BARATHOLOMAY spent Sunday at Irvine Park in Chippewa Falls.

Mr. and Mrs. EMIL SONNENBEERG spent Sunday at the home of his mother in Stevens Point.

Mr. and Mrs. Peter KRARUP are rejoicing over the arrival of a son at their home on Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. Walter BEILFUSS were business callers in Abbottsford the forepart of the week.

Mr. and Mrs. L. PHILLIPS, of Thorp, were Sunday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ben KROM.

Mrs. Howard PHIPPS, of Eau Claire, was a guest on Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John SCHWARTZ.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank BERRY, of Medford, were Sunday guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James BOYLAN.

Mrs. Albert DOUPHNER entertained a few friends at her home on Wednesday evening in honor of her birthday.

Mr. and Mrs. Oscar SCHOENGARTH, of Neillsville, were guests at the Walter BEILFUSS home on Monday of this week.

Mr. and Mrs. Abe KURTZ and child returned home from Chicago last week, where they had been to spend the Jewish holidays.

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur JENSEN and Miss Ethel RHUBARDT motored to Eau Claire on Sunday and spent the day the guest of Jos. JENSEN.

Mrs. Chas. KUEHL and Mrs. Fred SCHUMACKER will entertain the Ladies Aid at the home of Mrs. KUEHL on Thursday afternoon, October 7.

J. ROSENTHAL, who has been here the past year as a partner of Abe KURTZ in the junk business, left this week for Chicago, where he will remain.

Viggo LORENTZEN and family and Mrs. H.J. HANSEN motored to Neillsville on Sunday and spent the day with Mr. and mrs. Ole C. ANDERSEN.

Mr. and Mrs. V.A. HANSEN and Miss Carried JACOBSEN were Saturday visitors at the home of County Clerk Ole C. ANDERSEN and family at Neillsville.

FRENCHTOWN

Mr. and Mrs. Jens ANDERSEN, Mrs. Hans ANDERSEN and family and Carl ANDERSEN attended the SOMER-STIGEN wedding on Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. Peter JENSEN and family attended the SOMER-STIGEN wedding on Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. Jens ANDERSEN left Monday morning for a visit with their daughter, Mrs. E.W. CHISTENSEN, at Marinette, Wis., and also with another daughter, Mrs. S.C. MADSEN, at Menominee, Mich. Mr. and Mrs. MADSEN will celebrate their silver wedding on October 3. They will later cross over to Washington Island where they will visit with relatives and friends. Washington Island was their home for about 22 years. Mr. ANDERSEN having been a blacksmith there.

Mrs. K. KATUTIS is very ill. She has an abcess in her throat, but is now slightly improved.

Miss Ella HEIDEMAN came Sunday from Thorp to spend the day with her parents here.

Had a good laugh, when I read that my grand mother Mrs. Chris Madsen illness made the news that week.
