Many Fish Planted in Nearby Streams

June 1937

Game Warden Al Klumpner was a pleasant caller at this office last Thursday and gave us the following information regarding the planting of fish in nearby streams during the past few weeks.

2,500 Rainbow Trout, ranging from 6 to 14 inches in length have been planted in Hay Creek, the south fork of the Eau Claire river and in Wedges Creek. The majority were put in Hay Creek.

85,000 Brook Trout were distributed in Scott, Ryan, Cameron, Black, Dickerson, Clutes, Rock Run, Wedges and Pony Creeks.

250,000 small Walleyed Pike were planted in the Popple River and approximately 1,250,000 small Walleyed Pike were planted in Black River.
