Ketelhut, Hattie (Marriage - 2 Jun 1909)

Two marriages from the town of Levis, Clark County were recorded last week. Mr. Herman Meier and Miss Hattie Ketelhut were married Wednesday at the Lutheran parsonage and Mr. Henry Nickel and Miss Ida Ketelhut were married Saturday afternoon at the Lutheran Church, Rev. H. Brandt officiating at both. The brides are sisters; they are daughters of Mr. and Mrs. August Ketelhut of the town of Levis. They are young ladies who have a large number of friends and both are well qualified to undertake the care of their new homes.

Mr. Meier also lives in Levis, where he owns a farm. He is a splendid worker, and a first rate fellow in every way. He worked on the editor’s farm the past summer and we know him to be all right. The other groom, Mr. Henry Nickel is from Milwaukee. He is a stranger to most of us here, but his is a man of good appearance and is highly spoken of by all who have met him.

A reception was held at the home of the brides’ parents, which was attended by a large number of their friends, and a fine time enjoyed by all. The two happy couple are extended our best wishes.
