McAdams, George W. (9 Sep 1817 - 10 Mar 1909)

Geo. W. McAdams was born in Somerset, Somerset Co., Penn., Sept. 8, 1817, departed this life March 10, 1909 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W.J. Dimond, aged 91 years, 6 months and 1 day. He was married in 1849 to Mary Ann Hamaker and to this union was born eleven children, seven of which are left to mourn his loss, also a brother and sister. Mr. McAdams and family moved to Clark County, Wis., in 1857, resided there until 1878, when he and his family came to Smith Co., Kansas, the wife dying in 1880. The same fall Mr. McAdams and children moved to Rawlins Co., Kansas, where he resided until 1898, when he came to make his home with his daughter until his death. (Kensington (Kansas) Mirror)
