Kutchera, Flora (1875 - 3 May 1907)

Mrs. John Kutchera died at her home near Trempealeau, Friday, May 3, 1907, after an illness of only ten days. The news of her death came as a shock to this community, bringing sincere sorrow to her many friends here. Mrs. Kutchera, whose maiden name was Flora McVay, was born in the town of Eagle, Richland Co., Wis., in 1875. She was married to John Kutchera at that place Nov. 4, 1896. In 1901 they came to Neillsville, Clark County, where Mr. Kutchera engaged in the livery business. In the spring of 1906 they moved to the farm a mile from Trempealeau, a fine country home.

Death at best is a grim and unwelcome visitor, but especially sad was its coming to this family, taking the wife and mother from her home and family. She leaves, besides her husband, two children, a little boy of eight and a girl of five years of age. She leaves also, five brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services were held at the home Sunday and the remains brought on Monday to Neillsville for burial, a brief service being held in the Methodist Church, Rev. W.P. Burrows officiating.
