Goeden, Edward (30 JUN 1891 - 10 MAR 1906)

Another proof that death pays no regards to age and spares not even the tender youth is the untimely demise of Edward Goeden, second child and only son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Goeden, who passed away Saturday at 7:30 p.m. His death was brought on by the effects of diabetes, the first symptoms of which appeared about a year and a half ago. The unsparing scythe of Death mowed down its victim at the tender age of 14 years, 8 months and 10 days. He was a good obedient boy and fond delight of his parents and the blow has left a deep wound in their hearts.

The funeral was held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. from St. Mary's Church, conducted by Rev. J.L. Hauck. His sermon was impressive and consoling. It was one of the largest funeral gatherings seen in this city (Neillsville, Clark County) in a long time.
