Smith, Emily R. (Marriage - 29 OCT 1904)
Oscar H. Finch of Sparta, Mich., and Emily Rubetta Smith were married Saturday evening, Oct. 29, 1904, Rev. G.W. Longenecker officiating. The marriage took place at Mr. Longenecker's residence. A supper and reception were given at the Omaha Hotel to a few of the friends of the young couple, who took the midnight train for Marshfield. Theodore McNamara acted as groomsman and Miss Lida Bass as bridesmaid.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B.E. Smith. She was one of the teachers of Clark County and is well though of. The groom is somewhat of a stranger here, having come here the past summer to work in the furniture factory. It is reported that they will make their future home at Sparta, Mich.
