ELI WINTER DIES

Eli Winter, ( ) W. 10th Street, Neillsville, died Tuesday, May 10, 1955 at the Memorial hospital, where he had been admitted April 26. Funeral services will be conducted today (Thursday), May 12, from the Georgas funeral home. The Rev. Virgil Nulton will officiate, with interment in the Neillsville cemetery. He was born July 30, 1877, at Fennimore, Wis., to Joseph and Mary Ellen (Barns) Winter. He came to Clark county with his parents when he was 5 years of age. His elementary education was received in the schools of Pine Valley. He spent 17 years on the harvest fields in South Dakota and since the death of his father a few years ago he has lived alone. He is survived by nieces and a nephew, Clifford Winter, Neillsville Mrs. Fred Marty, Granton Mrs. Edward Schoen, Neillsville , a sister-in-law, Mrs. Jennie Winter, Neillsville. His parents and four brothers preceded him in death.
